Xiaomi is a Chinese electronics based company that lies behind the Mi and Redmi product line. It is going to release its next flagship phone named Mi 5. However, there is also rumors surrounding the company have been more concentrated to release laptop by April 2016. The features of Xiaomi laptop is said to be very similar to Apple’s MacBook Air.
It is said that manufacturing division of this company was working since last year to release laptops which is modeled after the Apple’s MacBook Air product line. The rumor is also that the laptops have 15.6 inch screen and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. According to GSM arena, it has similar “ForceTouch” trackpad.
The Lei Feng Network has officially released the information regarding surrounding of the Xiaomi laptop. It is stated that the laptop is already doing testing and will offer at very affordable price. Xiaomi Notebook computer consists of Intel Core i7 4th generation processor with 2GB dedicated memory for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M. It is also stated that Xiaomi laptop will have an 8GB DDR4 RAM and have a 15.6-inch screen.
The rumors are that Xiaomi laptop will have Linux operating system in order to keep the price at bay. The price will be between 2,999 Yuan or US$466. It is very low as compared to some similar specs machine, such as Acer Aspire V3, Asus G551, , or the Lenovo Y50. The gaming spec machines are priced more than US$1,000 according to International Business Times reported. The company is also focused to create smaller sized screen of laptop which is 12.5 or 13.3 inch.
However, Xiaomi has not yet announced officially about the release of laptop and all these are speculations for mean time.
The company has recently launched Mi 4c Smartphone and introduced series of Mi Mobile service in China. With the Smartphone’s, the company is looking to compete against several other Chinese based companies.
Though Xiaomi’s new notebook was made official by the company on Wednesday, however rumors of this notebook is circulating much before. Bloomberg has reported earlier that Xiaomi’s first laptop is likely to be in range of Apple’s Macbook Air. However, we will have to wait next year in order to confirm the authenticity of those images.
